Excitement here at Xiaoshan

Today we witnessed a man on the ledge of the 20th floor of the Xiaoshan Hospital.  We are all on the 20th floor, and security was all over it.  Their little antiquated firetrucks, policemen, and ambulances ready.  As morbid as it sounds, I took pictures.  I figure for all we're being stared at for just walking down the street, I could take a picture of a man on a ledge.  Course he didn't jump, thank God.  Brooke is watching the fireworks.....again.  It's like the 4th of July here every day.  Good bye evil spirits.  Tomorrow is #4 injection.  Weather is nice again so that helps, 60s and sunny.   Will let you know how she handles it.  Our little trooper.

Yikes did that bring ya flashbacks to the night of Brookes party & the man standing ready to jump from the bridge here in Burlington...crazy people out there, atleast they are both still alive! Sounds like Brooke is doing well, that is soooo awesome! Brady is going to go with Tony & I to the Professional Bull Riding at Bradley Center Saturday night, I'm sure he will love it! He had such a fun time at Jodi's party too, & when my mom & I took him to Farm & Fleet, oh & Aerial & Sally's & Olive Garden for lunch he was sooo funny, like a young little man!

Well you all take care & keep an eye on those ledges ps i proabbly would have taken pictures tooLOL......Love ya, Kelsey

      Hi,
My name is Janet Bean and my son is Mattew Rizzo. We live in Chicago, not too far from you.

Matt was the 8th child diagnosed with GLUT 1. He was born in 1991 and diagnosed in 1993. He stayed on the diet until he was nine and then it ceased to work. He has had a regular diet since then.

We maintain high glucose levels through HI-Maize, a new bulk fiber corn starch product.

It has been a long time since I had visted the yahoo chat group for GLUT 1 and when seeing your entry on the stem cell procedure I started crying with both the feeling of renewed hope and a sadness that Matt, being diagnosed so long ago, has not had the benefit of what's now available.

Do you have any info if this is a possible treatment for a 15 year old? Or, if you do not know could you please direct me to someone who can? I would truly be most greatful.

I am so so happy you have found something with such a strong success rate. I admire your determination and look forward to your reply.

Hey all! I took Brady to the Jelly Belly factory yesterday; He said it was the "Best time of his life." He has a "memory" book full of pictures from the Benefit, and his little adventures here. (It is a picutre book, he calls it memories) We're glad to hear how good Brooke is doing, and excited to know there are less than 14 days left until you come home! (Bailey did the math yesterday when Brady asked her to make him a "Coming home countdown") We also wanted to mention that all of those fireworks are prolly for the Chinese New Year which runs from the end of February to the end of March. Maddie loved her Saint Patricks flowers, Cindy. She says "Many thanks to her Pen Pal." We'll Talk to you all soon! Good luck in the following weeks!
