Brooke did even better with her 2nd sct via lumbar puncture.  She is walking today (first day after) vs needing 2 days with the first one.  She has gone for a walk in her stroller outside which is a bumpy ride and she is fine.  Appetite, of course is good and no vomitting or headaches.  Haven't seen obvious improvements yet, although today she has a lot of energy.   Yesterday coming out of surgery room she was awake and asking to eat.  That was tough, considering she fasted 6 hours prior to sct and had to wait 4 more hours afterwards to eat.  She had to lie flat on her back for 6 hours following, so she ate her supper lying in bed.  We made a big game out of it, and said don't tell dad we're eating in bed!!!   Man did she giggle.  Today Robert from Sydney, Australia arrived.  His daughter, Sabrina has glut-1, she just turned 10.  He brought pictures of her and she is beautiful.  He really liked meeting Brooke and it is good to talk with another glut-1 family.  He is staying near the hospital and researching his options before committing to sct.  They hope to come back as a family this summer for treatments.  They are still in the decision making stage, I can feel for them.  We are all going out for dinner tonight, Peter offered to stay with Brooke, which is great.  He is doing great here and has been a help to many, not just us.  Toots is out of drink and soon out of cream.  I'm going to have some brought in from Shenzhen.  It is not available here in Hangzhou.  I hope to update with more good news, we are scheduled for an IV stem cell injection for Friday, not as much prep or recovery.  Keep praying and thank you everyone, Prairie View School, St. Paul's Lutheran East Troy, and our endless friends and relatives who love Miss Brooke.

      Ms. Brooke,

I'm so happy to hear things are going well. I figured you would charm all the nurses and doctors in China. You guys are the pioneers in stem cell therapy for glut-1 kids. Way to lead us us, Brooke!!!!

Aunt Julie is taking Brady to the museum today with her bosses daughter, Ashley. My mom had a jewelry party last night and raked in $440 in free jewerly! Boy did I have fun picking out my new necklace! Well, I hope all goes well in the coming week. I know we're all excited to see Peter on Saturday, as well as go to Jodi's birthday party. Love to all,

Hi Brooke. I had to tell you a funny story about your silly brother Brady. He came over last Thursday and thought "Sandy" my dog statue was real. He got about a foot away and said "Is that a stone?" I said pet her and find out. Too funny. Congrats on your second set of cells! Great Job. Love, Denise
