Brooke is scheduled for her 2nd stem cell injection.  She will get another one via lumbar puncture.  The kids who are more involved in their extremities will get the IV this round.  However, Brooke is quite able in comparison and will get the lumbar again.  On Wednesday we will get the IV stem cells.  Doctor Mike thinks after the 2nd injection we may begin to see some improvements.  One of the kiddos here is now able to get her hand to her mouth and she couldn't before.  So we'll see what the next few days bring for the Queen.  The docs and nurses love her, they say how she is very cooperative and brave.  Don't we know that!!

      Hi Cindy and Peter!
Maddie and I have been trying to keep up with the blogs. It is nice to hear that things are going well. We are glad the side affects have been minimal with Brookes treatments... Yay! That little sweet pea continues to be in our prayers! Maddie said Buster has been a good pup. A bit wound up last night she said! It is beautiful today... high 5o's. I am sure a walk with buster will do him good! So we probably have similar temperatures? It is sososo muddy here! Goes with Spring... Hugs to all!

      Greetings all:
It looks like it's going to be a beautiful day in Hangzhou. The sun is shining brightly, trying to slice through the smog that hangs rather thick in this part of the city. I expect the temps will easily reach 60 or so. There's no watching the weather on our one channel t.v. cuz our Chinese is still pretty rusty, so I just have to guess.
I can hear Brooke laughing in her room. She's on the laptop drawing pictures of Vincent. She and Mama in the same bed. It's the first day after the 2nd lumbar (probably 2 lumbars to go)and it's important that Brooke arises slowly.
She's a trooper to say the very least. She gets it from her Mom, who gets it from her Mom.
It's a bit of a vacation from the usual home chores but the stress levels are over the top on "stem cell days" as we've come to call them.
Brooke was actually calling the doctor, wanting her "poke and glove" cuz she knew she could eat when she was done. She is amazing.
Peter's doing well and helping the other family's here as well as our own. It will be tough to see him go home without me but I know everyone back home will try to touch base with him now and then.
Maddie, Lisa, Lori,Missy, thanks so much for taking such good care of Buster. It's good to hear how's he's doing. I miss him so!!
      Better check on the Queen!
      Love from Hangzhou!
